4 Different Ways To Write Your Wedding Invites

4 Different Ways To Write Your Wedding Invites

After the wedding date has been set and the venue has been booked, the first item to check off your to do list should be the wedding invitations.

Most people choose to either do them themselves or have the invitations sent out by the parents of the bride, however not everyone wants a traditional wedding.

For those on a budget, or for those looking for new, unique and modern ideas, here are four different ways to write your wedding invites.

1.) Calligraphy Writing: Take a calligraphy course, and write the invitations in fancy writing. For this you will need to purchase an expensive calligraphy set, as this type of writing can only be done with a certain type of pen and ink. Make sure to place all the relevant details in the invitation, such time, place, day and the RSVP details.

2.) Computerized Invitations: If you are looking for a fun, modern, fast and inexpensive way to make your invitations, print out the invitations on your computer, using a fancy font. This way of writing invitations may not be as traditional as hand written ones, however it can still econvey your message in a classy and fun way.

3.) Hire a professional: Consider hiring a professional to write your wedding invitations, if your budget permits. Many people find it difficult to make sure the message is conveyed with elegance yet as simply as possible, therefore hiring a professional may be worth the money if you are concerned about the presentation and content of the invitation. In addition, hiring a professional will save you time, as there are many other decisions and important aspects of the wedding that should have more focus and will take up more of your time.

4.) Have an Editor: Consider writing the invitations yourself, and allowing a professional or a family member or friend who is gifted with words look over what you have written to make sure it sounds professional and is grammatically correct. You do not want to find spelling mistakes, punctuation errors and incorrect grammar in your invitations once they are all printed and sent out.

These five ideas can help you create the perfect wedding invitations, while sticking to your budget, time frame, and still conveying the message you want your guests to receive. By choosing one of these five ideas you can reduce stress during the wedding preparation days.

Things You Must Do To Look Good On Your Wedding Day

Things You Must Do To Look Good On Your Wedding Day

I have been looking after brides, creating fabulous makeup and sensational hair for many years. There is so much planning and money spent on planning for that radiant glorious beautiful wedding look.

BUT, there are a few things that can really tarnish or even spoil it!

1. Have you checked your veil has the correct attachments for the hairstyle you have (chosen comb or loops)?

2. Have you had an extensive comprehensive makeup trial to make sure you are not allergic to ANY MAKEUP used? (Do you have sensitive eyes…. will those false eyelashes be okay on the day?)

3. Have you made sure the makeup artist has written all the makeup used at the trial will be used on the day…. no additions? (i.e. some people do not react with fixer, primers, mascara etc.)

4. Have you requested that the makeup artist gives you a compact powder for the wedding day? Professional makeup has elements in it to not give white faces to the camera flash etc. plus its longwearing and high quality.

The worst thing to happen to me was to attach the veil on the wedding day on a bride who I had created a fabulous l960?s hairstyle – high on top and great straight fringe. The bride had not brought the veil to the trial as requested for us to check it out. On the day the veil was so heavy and long that it dragged the fringe down to the end of the bride’s nose and ruined her high up style.

Next one is the bridesmaid who thinks they are more important than the bride herself. At the hair trial, if you have a bridesmaid who is SO difficult and likely to be a problem for you, get her to have a hair trial. Then we know exactly what to do on the day and everyone is happy.

Mismatched Bridesmaids – The New Trend?

Mismatched Bridesmaids – The New Trend?

It has been seen in hundreds of bridal magazines: the mismatched bridesmaid dresses. For years, there has been an unspoken rule that your bridesmaid dresses have to all match. The only exception has typically been the maid of honour, who often has had a different colour dress or a different style dress.

But in today’s fashion world, there is the trend of not only letting your bridesmaids choose different styles, but now many brides are allowing their bridesmaids to choose different colours of dresses. Some dresses are in the same colour family, and other brides let their bridesmaids choose whatever they want. There seems to be no more rules about what your bridesmaids can wear.

Popular Bridesmaid Trend

There is a good reason behind this popular bridesmaid trend. Although it is the bridesmaids’ job to keep the bride happy, in recent years, it has become a burden of the bride to keep her bridesmaids happy. Because bridesmaids are purchasing a relatively expensive dress, among other things, they often want a dress that they can wear again, and that they feel comfortable with. When they have a say, they feel more important, and they feel as though the bride is listening to their opinions and their needs. By letting the bridesmaids choose their own dress styles or colours, the bride can please her maids. Also, not all bridesmaids have the same body type, so some styles will not look as good on some maids as they will on others. Different styles allow bridesmaids to feel comfortable on your wedding day.

Mismatched bridesmaid dresses can add a nice touch to your wedding. Instead of having all your bridesmaids look exactly the same, you can let them show off their personalities by letting them pick different styles.

One of the best ways to do this, and still accomplish the vision for your wedding that you want, is to choose three or four different styles of dresses for your bridesmaids to choose from. That way you can still be in control of what your bridesmaids wear, and they have the opportunity to choose the dress that best fits their personalities and body types.

Same Style Dress In Different Colours

When you’re looking to have different coloured bridesmaid dresses, one of the best ways to go about it is to choose the same style of dress in different colours. While mismatched bridesmaid dresses can add something special to your wedding, there still needs to be some similarity between the dresses to make them look cohesive and like they belong together.

Choosing the styles of dresses in different colours, but still choosing colours in the same colour family, for example, all yellows or all blues, you can allow your bridesmaids to express their personalities, while still remaining true to how you want your wedding to look.

The final decision, of course, is completely up to you, the bride. It is your wedding and your vision. If you have great friends and bridesmaids, they will be more than willing to wear whatever you want them to wear.
